Harvey Rubin on Ebola and EtC Solutions in Knowledge@Wharton

EtC's Professor Harvey Rubin discusses the social and cultural aspects of Ebola epidemic response in Knowledge@Wharton, The Wharton School's online journal of business analysis. Additionally, he addresses the need for global governance for public health emergencies and the role that Energize the Chain plays in safeguarding the cold chain.

"According to Rubin, a 'global governance system' for infectious diseases could be the solution in a case like Ebola. This would provide incentives for basic research and pharmaceutical R&D to develop new drugs and vaccines, and it would ensure that adequate surveillance and reporting is encouraged globally, he says."
